आज हम यहाँ Tense के Hindi to English Translation में Past Continuous Tense in Hindi को सीखेंग। English बोलने अथवा सीखने के लिए अंग्रेजी में Tense एक बहुत ही Important Topic है।
Past Continuous Tense की पहचान करें –
सर्वप्रथम Past Continuous Tense के Sentence को Hindi से English में Translate करने के लिए उसकी पहचान करें कि दिया गया Hindi Sentence (हिंदी वाक्य) Past Continuous Tense का है या नहीं ।
पहचान (Recognition)
जब किसी हिंदी वाक्य के अंत में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे, इत्यादि शब्द आएं तो ऐसे वाक्यों को Hindi से English में Translate करने के लिए Past Continuous Tense का प्रयोग होगा।
जैसे -
- वह जा रहा था।
- मैं किताब पढ रहा था।
- बच्चे नदी में तैर रहे थे।
- मोहिनी खाना पका रही थी।
उपर्युक्त दिए गए हिंदी वाक्य Past Continuous Tense के सेंटेंस हैं अतः ऐसे सभी Hindi Sentence को हिंदी से अंग्रेजी बनाने के लिए Past Continuous Tense के Rule का प्रयोग होगा।
Types of Past Continuous Sentences in Hindi
Past Continuous Tense के Sentences निम्नलिखित प्रकार के हो सकते थे –
- Affirmative Sentences
- Negative Sentences
- Interrogative Sentences
- Interrogative Negative Sentences
Affirmative Sentences
Past Continuous Tense के Affirmative Sentences को Hindi से English में अनुवाद करने के लिए निम्नलिखित Rule of Translation का प्रयोग करें -
Formula :
Subject + was / were + V1(ing) + Object
Rule:
- सर्वप्रथम Subject को English में Translate करें -
- इसके पश्चात Helping Verb (was/were) Subject के अनुसार लिखें –
- अगर Sentence में Subject एक वचन (Singular Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर I, He , She , it आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ was का प्रयोग करें -
- अगर Sentence में Subject बहुवचन (Plural Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर We, You , They आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ were का प्रयोग करें
- इसके पश्चात Verb की First Form में ing लगाकर लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Object लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Sentence में शेष शब्दों का English में Translate करके लिखें -
जैसे - मोहिनी खाना पका रही थी।

अतः उपर्युक्त Formula: Subject + was /were + V1(ing) + Object से
Mohini + was + cooking + the food.
Examples
लड़का पत्र लिख रहा था।
A boy was writing a letter.
वह बाजार जा रहा था।
He was going to the market.
वह मैदान में खेल रही थी।
She was playing on the ground
लड़के पत्र लिख रहे थे
The boys write a letter.
मैं बाज़ार जा रहा था।
I was going to the market.
वे मैदान में खेल रहे थे
They were playing on the ground
वह मुझे इंग्लिश पढ़ रह है।
He was teaching me English.
मोहन स्कूल जा रहा था।
Mohan was going to school.
Negative Sentence -
Past Continuous Tense के Negative Sentence की पहचान करें,
ऐसे हिंदी वाक्य जिनमें 'नहीं' शब्द दिया होता था वे Negative Sentences के अंतर्गत आते थे।
जैसे -
- वह नहीं जा रहा था।
- मैं किताब नहीं पढ रहा था।
- बच्चे नदी में नहीं तैर रहे थे।
- मोहिनी खाना नहीं पका रही है।
Past Continuous Tense को Negative Sentence में प्रयोग करने के लिए Hindi से English में अनुवाद करते समय निम्नलिखित Rule का प्रयोग करें -
Formula :
Subject + was/ were + not + V1(ing) + Object
Rule
- सर्वप्रथम Subject को English में Translate करें -
- इसके पश्चात Helping Verb ( was / were ) Subject के अनुसार लिखें –

वह नहीं जा रहा है।

Interrogative Sentence
[Past Continuous Tense Interrogative Sentence inHindi]
ये 2 प्रकार के होते हैं-
(1). Interrogative Sentences - Type 1
(जब वाक्य के प्रारम्भ में प्रश्नवाचक शब्द ' क्या ' दिया हो)
क्या वह जाता था।
Formula:
Was / Were + Subject + V1 (ing)+ Object
Rule:
- सर्वप्रथम Helping Verb ( was / were ) Subject के अनुसार लिखें –
- अगर Sentence में Subject एक वचन (Singular Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर I, He , She , it आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ was का प्रयोग करें -
- अगर Sentence में Subject बहुवचन (Plural Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर We, You , They आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ were का प्रयोग करें
- इसके पश्चात Subject को English में Translate करें -
- इसके पश्चात Verb की First Form में ing लगाकर लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Object लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Sentence में शेष शब्दों का English में Translate करके लिखें -

(2). Interrogative Sentences - Type 2
(जब वाक्य के बीच में प्रश्नवाचक शब्द ' क्या ' , ' क्यों ' , ' कब ' , ' कैसे ' इत्यादि दिए हों )
Formula:
Question word + was / were + Subject + V1(ing) + Object
Rule:
- सर्वप्रथम प्रश्नवाचक शब्द की अंग्रेजी लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Helping Verb ( was / were ) Subject के अनुसार लिखें –
- अगर Sentence में Subject एक वचन (Singular Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर I, He , She , it आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ was का प्रयोग करें -
- अगर Sentence में Subject बहुवचन (Plural Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर We, You , They आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ were का प्रयोग करें
- इसके पश्चात Subject को English में Translate करें -
- इसके पश्चात Verb की First Form में ing लगाकर लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Object लिखें -
- इसके पश्चात Sentence में शेष शब्दों का English में Translate करके लिखें -
जैसे - मोहिनी खाना कहाँ पका रही थी।

मैं क्या पढ रहा था।

Interrogative Negative Sentence
Interrogative Negative Sentences in Hindi: (जब वाक्य प्रश्नवाचक के साथ - साथ नकारात्मक भी हो)
जैसे -
क्या वह नहीं जा रहा था।
वे कब नहीं खेल रहे थे
- ऐसे Sentence बनाने के लिए Interrogative Sentence के लिए Interrogative rule का उपयोग करें और Negative Sentence के लिए Sentence में Main verb से पहले not का प्रयोग करें।
- अगर Sentence में Subject एक वचन (Singular Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर I, He , She , it आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ was का प्रयोग करें -
- अगर Sentence में Subject बहुवचन (Plural Number) हो अथवा Subject के स्थान पर We, You , They आदि दिया हो तो ऐसे Subject के साथ were का प्रयोग करें

क्या वह नहीं जा रहा था।

वे कब नहीं खेल रहे थे
